CuetaraCare is a nonprofit animal rescue and sanctuary specializing in turtles and tortoises, along with mini farm animals and other domestic animals. Our educational visits give children, families, and small groups the chance to learn about animal care, rescue, conservation, and treating all living creatures with kindness and respect.
Whenever possible, visits include guided, hands-on encounters with our sanctuary residents. Guests may meet, touch, and observe the animals while learning about their personalities, habitats, diets, and care needs. Every interaction is based on what's appropriate for each animal.
There's no admission fee for educational visits. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, CuetaraCare relies on donations to provide food, veterinary care, housing, and habitat improvements for our animals. If you're able, we suggest a donation of $10–$20 per person or $30 per family.
Your support helps us keep rescuing and providing lifelong sanctuary to animals in need.
Currently, we are only scheduling Tuesdays, but other days can be considered. Text (530) 208-3114 if you have questions or to check avaliably of other days.
